Enjoy the stunning beauty of Yellowstone — America’s first national park — on a private full-day winter tour from Gardiner. Traverse the park’s snowy landscape by vehicle alongside an expert guide, seeking out local wildlife. Keep an eye out for wolves, as well as coyotes, moose, big horn sheep and more. Marvel at Mammoth Hot Springs and the Lamar Valley, stop for a delicious lunch, and enjoy the convenience of round-trip transport from your Gardiner lodgings.

Begin your private day of wildlife spotting with an early morning pick-up from your Gardiner lodging.

Take advantage of the low light as you travel across Yellowstone’s northern range in a comfortable vehicle, keeping an eye out for moose, bighorn sheep, and elk. Yellowstone’s northern boundary also provides some of the best wolf habitats in North America and these canine creatures are especially visible in winter. Use binoculars and scopes for up-close sightseeing.

Since deep mountain snow often force the park’s grazing animals into lower elevation, look for antelope and bison as you journey from the park's north entrance or Mammoth Hot Springs to its northeast entrance and Cooke City, Montana. Along the way, you'll enjoy many stops for wildlife viewing and scenic vistas, along with lunch.

Afterward, sit back and relax for your return trip to Gardiner.
