This journey begins at 9:30am for check-in at the rafting office. You will be transported to the Yellowstone River just minutes away, where you will meet your expert guide. After a brief talk about safety, you'll board the raft and start paddling!
This white water section of the Yellowstone River has several class III rapids, beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife. Prepare to get very wet while rafting in Montana! During a calm stretch of river, you'll land on a river bank filled with tall cottonwood trees, where you'll be served a hearty picnic lunch. You can take this time to do some exploring before boarding the raft for more whitewater action. Yankee Jim Canyon is the next thrilling section of river. Rapids such as “Yankee’s Revenge” and “Box Car” are sure to provide a lot of excitement. The deep, narrow canyon offers an up-close-and-personal feel for the natural world around you.
After 18 miles, the river begins to meander through Montana ranch land. It is a unique section of river that only our overnight guests experience. At approximately 4 pm you will arrive at the destination camp. A campfire, hot or cold drinks, your dry clothes and gear will greet you at arrival. This scenic float is a relaxing rafting option for families with kids between the ages of 0-2, or elderly folks who may not feel up to a regular whitewater adventure. During this 6-mile trip, find yourself surrounded in nature’s beauty as you meander down the magnificent Yellowstone River.

Your trip begins with check-in at the rafting office thirty minutes prior to departure. It's best to bring a swimsuit or clothes you might not mind getting wet in, if you and your party so choose. Changing rooms are available to anyone who needs them. After check-in, you are shuttled to the river, where you will receive a life jacket, pose for a family photo and then be on your way!
This scenic trip is the perfect rafting option for those families who have members that may be too young for whitewater rafting. A guide will expertly row your raft down the river, avoiding major rapids but hitting a few fun splashes, and allow you to swim, if you'd like. Bring your waterproof cameras along to ensure you capture every moment. It is not uncommon to see wildlife such as Osprey birds, geese, deer and maybe even an eagle. Plus, the beautiful Gallatin and Absaroka mountains sit to the east of the Yellowstone River and provide a spectacular view. At the end of your float you will get picked up and brought back to the office where you checked in.
